WHAT FOLAFER IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR: 
FOLAFER is the complete synergetic formula of two active ingredients, Iron Pyrophosphate  (SunActive®) and Methylfolate (Quatrefolic®) that complement each other for prevention of anemia and prophylaxis of iron and folic acid deficiency. Also bring you the best for the healthy production of Hgb and RBCs.

INDICATIONS:
• Pregnant women.
• Children and adults diagnosed as being iron deficient and/or anemic
• Women with heavy menstrual bleeding.
• Frequent blood donors.
• People with cancer.
• People who have gastrointestinal disorders (Like, ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease) or
have had GIT surgery.
 
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS:
The dose and duration of treatment depends on the degree of iron deficiency. and according to the physicians’ recommendations. generally, the treatment needs about 3-5 months until values return to normal hemoglobin.
After that treatment should continue for a few weeks at doses indicated for iron deficiency potential to replenish iron stores.
 
HOW TO TAKE FOLAFER:
Take 1 capsule with plenty of water, best absorbed on an empty stomach (taken 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals). It is better to take the dose with a natural fruit juice, and to avoid concomitant intake of coffee, tea and milk or dairy products with any types of oral-iron.

PROPERTIES:
SunActive® is a patented, nutrient delivery system for minerals. Quatrefolic® vs. Folic Acid:
The body can’t just use folic acid as it is—it has to go through a conversion process into a form called Methyltetrahydrofolate, or MTHF, in order to use it. Quatrefolic® doesn’t go through the same conversion process as folic acid, effectively bypassing that genetic variation.
